Maintenance performed on an installation in Norway

EU directive - analysis of product portfolio
January 2008: Improvus has been entrusted to analyze a client’s product portfolio to investigate whether or not
their products fall within the framework of the directives 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Directive (WEEE), as well as the 2002/95/EC, Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical
and Electronic Equipment Directive (RoHS).
Presentation GMP demands vs ISO9000
December 2007: During December Improvus held a presentation with the primary objective of comparing GMP demands with guidelines from a quality system according to ISO9000. The audience needed to understand the regulatory demands put on their end-customers (GMP) as compared with how they themselves work (ISO9000).
Process system upgrade
20 November 2007: This involves inspecting and testing an earlier
process system. The work encompasses repairing and/or replacing electronics
as well as mechanical components. It also includes securing, verifying, and
upgrading technical documentation.
Process plant outside Europe
October 2007: Improvus has started up the process plant for a paper mill
that we earlier were commissioned (by Linde Gas 8 Dec, 2006) to plan, develop,
and put into operation.
Onsite trouble-shooting
15 August 2007: Improvus has been commissioned to conduct trouble-shooting for an automated process plant in the field of environment technology. Corrective measures encompassing the areas of mechanical and automatic control are to be subsequently carried out onsite and tested. This is then to be documented and finally reported to the end-user of the plant.

Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) training course
March 2007: Improvus is to carry out PED training for a number of
European companies that belong to global corporations. This training will
take place in Tallinn.
Marketing material for process system
01 Feb. 2007: Improvus has been given the task of producing printed
material for the marketing of a patented process system.

new employee at Improvus
01 Jan. 2007: Improvus continues to expand: Marika Norström
has been hired as a consultant. She holds a graduate engineering degree
from the
Royal Institute of Technology with a major in chemical technology. Marika
has experience in project management in the field of process-system development
applicable to the pharmaceutical industry. She has also worked with verification
and validation.
Process plants outside Europe
08 Dec. 2006: Improvus has been given a mandate by Linde Gas to provide
its customers with project management, development, and the startup of process
plants for the paper industry.
The world's largest gas company turns to Improvus for new projects
01 Dec. 2006: The Linde Gas Group—which became the world’s
largest gas company on the 6th of September this year following a fusion with
British Oxygen—continues to entrust Improvus with new projects. The
latest is to lead the development of a process system for the production
of sterile media intended for applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
EU directive studied
15 Oct. 2006: The study is to evaluate how companies are to apply the
directives regarding production systems/machines (RoHS, WEEE). Read more about

Training to handle gas safely
20 Jan. 2006: The course includes the training of personnel in a pharmaceutical
company how to handle gas safely.
Development project for sterile production
02 Jan. 2006: The customer has turned to Improvus for the planning,
carrying-out, and testing of a technical system for sterile production—and
for administering follow-up. This project also includes the production
of sales material and the documentation of customer material such as operator
manuals.
Improvus
employees Petra Grönwall
01 Jan. 2006: Improvus is happy to have recruited Petra Grönwall
as a new consultant. Petra is a graduate engineer from the Royal Institute
of Technology, with a major in chemical technology and industrial environmental
protection. Petra will be carrying out ongoing tests and verification at our
customers’ sites.
Commercializing service products
30 Oct. 2005: Improvus is to develop a concept for sale support for
chemical process systems with regard to the various qualification processes
of our pharmaceutical customers. This will include a market study, proposals
for determining prices, the production of training material, and materials
for market communications.
Standardizing and modularization
15 Aug. 2005: Improvus is to work as project manager in a
development project for a customer in the paper industry. The project encompasses
the standardization and modularization of a process plant. The project is
to provide answers concerning the best way to coordinate and match customer-needs/customer-demands
on the various markets to price/performance. Quality assurance and how to
meet applicable EU directives is also part of this project.
Upgrading process systems in the
environmental-technology sector
28 Jun. 2005: Improvus is given the task of upgrading the
control system (PLC and HMI) in an environmental plant operated by a petrochemistry
customer. The project includes project management, operative specifications,
testing, and documentation. The programming work (Siemens S7 and iFIX) will
be done in collaboration with our partner in the process-automation sector.
Delivery of chemical process plant to foreign customer
20 May 2005: The project comprises project management, the rebuilding
and startup of a process plant—including the [PLC and PC/HMI] control
system—the drafting of a process design, specifications, risk analysis,
specification testing, customer documentation, and technical registration.
The adherence to applicable EU directives (MD, PED, LVD, EMC) is also included.
