How big a project do you take?
Considering resources, we are able to accept jobs that take a few days (such as training) to ongoing projects that run for several years.

Can we contact any of your references?
Yes, that normally presents no problem. Please go to the references pages, where you will find statements from some of our customer.

You mention on your website that you provide a guarantee of quality regarding your customer projects. Can you briefly explain how that is done?
First and foremost, we ask our customer to provide us with a total picture; background, present situation, goals, etc. This may seem self-evident, but it is often here that things go wrong. It is normally easily possible to clear up ambiguous project descriptions early on. This is why we have demands with regard to our customers as well—something that proves profitable for both parties. By continually reporting where we are in a project, and using defined mileposts, we create a consensus with our customers. We obtain comments and approval from our customer before proceeding. The customer therefore always knows where we are and where we are going—a clear-cut guarantee of quality that ensures that the project goals will be reached.

Explain briefly about your contract conditions.
We work according to accepted business practices, such as, ABK96, wherein, for instance, confidentiality is stipulated. Naturally, Improvus carries responsibility insurance.

A stricter environmental concession has been imposed on us, which we must meet. Can you help us with that?
Of course, absolutely. We have 20 years of experience of just such questions. In collaboration with you, we study how the new specifications can be met regarding you and your business. It is a matter of finding the right technology and, when necessary, matching it with the right supplier.

We are developing a process system to be sold to the pharmaceutical industry. They have stringent demands regarding documentation and testing. Do you have any suggestions about how we should proceed?
Yes, the pharmaceutical industry places great importance on traceability from demands to final product.
We can help you to study and/or draft demands and technical specifications and documentation, and also manage the design work, manufacture, and verification. For example, it might be a question of specifying the right demands in an optimal and structured manner in order to achieve an effective commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
We have special expertise and considerable experience as suppliers concerning development, manufacture, and marketing of process systems to just this kind of customer.
We can also make sure that both delivery and startup go well, and—should the customer wish—we can support planning and design, as well as follow-up involving qualification and validation..

We are about ready to replace an old control system while, at the same time, needing to upgrade some process segments. We have in-house expertise, but we are unsure as to how the market looks and what might be the best choice for us.
It is not always easy to keep up with a changing market. We often get similar questions, so we have a number of different cases to compare where we have helped customers that have had different prerequisites. We even provide programming work for precisely control systems (Siemens, ABB, etc.).

You state that you can help your customers with commercializaton.
In plain English, what does that mean?

We have a model that we have successfully used. One of the first items in this process is to identify the market:
- what needs exist?
- which target groups should we focus on to get our first breakthrough?
- what marketing tools will prove effective?
Another segment is the internal work involving establishment, sales demands, motivation, training, etc. We will gladly explain a possible model for you, and how we can work with commercialization. The easiest is often that we personally present one or more cases that we have carried out from development to successful completion.

We have a problem with some of our suppliers. Can you improve our routines?
Yes, we can help there. That is not a very unusual problem for our customers. And helping our customers to find routines for an effective cooperation with suppliers has become a sizeable portion of our business.

We are unsure about which products need to be CE-marked. Can you help us with that?
Not all products have to be CE-marked. But, many do, and that is something that we have been doing for many years. It is a matter of proper evaluation, and knowing what directive to follow—furthermore there may be both considerable analysis work and paper work involved.
You can read more about CE-marking och EU directives here.

Our company needs to work in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. Can you help us?
We use a special model for ISO 9001:2000 that encompasses business analysis, modeling, documentation of routines, and methodology as well as training and personnel support. Within this area, we have a project whereby one of our consultants was appointed by customer management as a representative in quality issues.
